Our Education
Raising Healthy Minds, Strong Bodies, and Global Citizens
At Tezukayama Global Academy, we believe strong education develops the whole child—academics, health, character, creativity, culture, and social skills together—building the confidence and adaptability needed for a complex world.
Our educational philosophy is built on a simple belief: a healthy mind and a healthy body create the foundation for a meaningful and successful life.
A Montessori Foundation for Lifelong Learning
Montessori education forms the heart of our program. Rather than simply teaching children what to think, we help them learn how to think independently. Through hands-on experiences, exploration, and purposeful work, students develop concentration, responsibility, curiosity, and intrinsic motivation.
This approach encourages children to become active participants in their own education. As a result, they develop strong problem-solving abilities, confidence in their decisions, and a genuine love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom.

Hands-on materials turn abstract ideas into something children can touch, explore, and master at their own pace.
Preparing Students for the Future
The world our children will enter is changing rapidly. Success will require far more than memorization of facts. It will require strong communication skills, mathematical thinking, technological literacy, creativity, adaptability, and the ability to solve unfamiliar problems.
Our curriculum weaves English immersion, mathematics, science, technology, and critical thinking into daily learning. Students ask questions, investigate ideas, and use technology to create and solve problems—not just consume information.

Our classrooms are calm, bright, and prepared for focused work. Children choose activities that match their stage of development while teachers guide with respect and care.
Developing the Mind Through the Body
One of the defining characteristics of Tezukayama Global Academy is our commitment to sports and physical development.
We believe that physical education is not separate from academic success—it supports it. Regular physical activity improves concentration, emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, teamwork, and overall wellbeing.
From an early age, students try many sports—soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, climbing, fencing, and more—building balance, coordination, perseverance, and confidence to try new challenges.
Just as importantly, sports teach valuable life skills. Students learn how to work with others, overcome setbacks, set goals, and continue improving through consistent effort. These lessons remain valuable long after a game has ended.

Movement, gymnastics, sports, and outdoor adventures build coordination, resilience, and the healthy habits that support focused learning.

Learning Beyond the Classroom
Some of our most meaningful learning experiences take place outside the classroom. For this reason, Tezukayama Global Academy regularly organizes excursions, educational visits, outdoor activities, and overnight programs that allow students to experience the world firsthand.
Students explore the world through excursions—to museums, the World Expo, Koyasan, Awashima Island, Kaiyukan, emergency services, and guide dog centers—turning classroom ideas into real-world understanding.
These trips build curiosity, independence, cultural awareness, and lasting memories that connect learning to life beyond school.

Subjects connect to the real world—from geography and culture to language and mathematics—so learning feels meaningful beyond the worksheet.
Enrichment Through Expert Instruction
Every child possesses unique talents and interests. Our enrichment classes are designed to help students discover and develop those abilities through experiences that extend beyond traditional academics.
Students participate in enrichment classes such as ballet, music, calligraphy, tea ceremony, world art, and gymnastics. These programs are taught by experienced specialists who bring professional knowledge and passion into the learning environment.
Through these experiences, students develop creativity, discipline, cultural awareness, self-expression, fine motor skills, and artistic appreciation. Learning directly from experts also allows children to experience a level of instruction and authenticity that inspires deeper engagement and higher achievement.

Rooted in Japanese Culture, Connected to the World
While our students learn within an international English-speaking environment, we place equal importance on preserving and celebrating Japanese culture.
Children are introduced to traditional arts, customs, values, and cultural practices that help them develop respect for their heritage and a strong sense of identity. At the same time, daily interaction with international educators and global perspectives encourages open-mindedness, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding.
We believe that world peace begins with understanding. By helping children appreciate both their own culture and the cultures of others, we aim to nurture individuals who can contribute positively to an increasingly interconnected world.

Our classrooms are calm, bright, and prepared for focused work. Children choose activities that match their stage of development while teachers guide with respect and care.

Children explore geography, culture, and language through hands-on materials—building curiosity about the world around them.
Learning from Exceptional Role Models
The quality of an educational institution is ultimately determined by the people who guide its students.
Our educators come from diverse backgrounds—from national-level athletics to research and technology—offering inspiration, mentorship, and real-world perspectives that help children imagine their own futures.

A Truly Well Balanced Education
Montessori independence, strong academics, thoughtful technology, sports, enrichment, Japanese traditions, and international perspectives work together as one balanced program.
Together, these elements create a balanced educational experience that develops the whole child.
Our goal is to develop healthy, capable, compassionate, and confident students who possess the knowledge, character, and adaptability needed to succeed in life and contribute meaningfully to society.

Caring for everyday tasks teaches responsibility, order, and the quiet pride of doing things independently.
